Today’s modern warfighters are often stationed in the world’s harshest environments. The electronics they carry with them are often fitted into rugged cases for ease of movement and mobility. The special requirements posed by this environment and mobility simply cannot be met by a standard commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) power solution. In terms of durability and ruggedness, COTS technology was never designed to fulfill requirements for properly supporting field applications. Rugged UPS products have evolved as a way to meet the power requirements this environment demands.
Chief among these environmental challenges are heat and humidity, shock, and Electro-Magnetic Interference. Should you need power conditioning but not battery back-up functionality, we can provide a UPS without batteries – an inverter. These products feature the same technology and meet the same MIL-STD requirements but without the weight and bulk of batteries.
